I like to practice over and over what I have to speak about in public so that I am prepared. I always have to have a paper lined out of what I am going to say because if I get to nervous I forget what I was planning on saying. I also like to pretend like I am not in front of a lot of people. I have always gone by the saying 'Fake It Tell You Make It' and that is exactly what I try to do. I would like to think that teaching Sunday School has helped me with my fear of speaking in public but, it hasn't. I am always just as nervous. When I listen to other people speak I like it when they are confident and I like it when they make what they are speaking about entertaining. I am glad we don't have to get up in front of each other in this class but if we would of had too, I would have.

same here I have a hard time but you seem to have more experience than me u do it more with being a teacher. that's cool that you get to share with others and it might help dealing with the fear. but it seems like you can do it.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your post. Your experience is common. Just think next time in your mind that everyone is sooo happy that it is you and not them! It helps!
